Bio
Lauren Piper is a Los Angeles-based visual artist who employs the surreal and absurd, blended with painted textures to evoke a dreamlike atmosphere. She spent her childhood between rural Pennsylvania and the suburbs of San Jose, California, before moving to Los Angeles to earn her BFA in Digital Media from Otis College of Art and Design. With over a decade of experience in the motion graphics industry, her skills continue to inform her artistic practice, working in photography, GIFs, and installation. Piper’s work has been exhibited at the Griffin Museum of Photography and the Los Angeles Center of Photography, and she has received awards from the National Stereoscopic Association and Teravarna Art Gallery.
